Paleo Alfredo Sauce

 April 20, 2018 (updated June 9, 2022)

PALEO ALFREDO SAUCE - INGREDIENTS1 1/2 cups soaked cashews (Note: you do not need to soak them overnight. The quick hack is to soak them in super hot water and they will get soft in a matter of ten min!)1/4 cup nutritional yeast1 tsp salt3 garlic cloves1 cup non dairy milk (I used almond milk)1 tb arrowroot powder (this is optional, but so great for giving it that wonderful creamy texture)

This sauce is great if you want to boost any dish, or even salad! For this particular post, I used it on brown rice pasta topped with organic jalapeño chicken sausage. It’s what’s for lunch, dinner, and maybe even again tomorrow. Because it’s GOOD. Grab your blender, you’ll want to make this sauce. STAT.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups soaked cashews (Note: you do not need to soak them overnight. The quick hack is to soak them in super hot water and they will get soft in a matter of ten min!)
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 cup non dairy milk (I used almond milk)
  • 1 tbsp arrowroot powder (this is optional, but so great for giving it that wonderful creamy texture)

Instructions

  • Blend all ingredients on high speed for 2-3 minutes and toss your pasta in the sauce!
  • If you want to upgrade, for the sausage, it's my fav kind from@truestoryfoods, even my picky toddler is obsessed. They are already cooked so basically just brown them in a skillet! I took one package of organic jalapeño sausages, sliced them, and sautéd in a little avocado oil. Served over a bed of arugula and topped with cilantro micro greens.
  • go SLAY your dinner game!
