"Berries and Cream" might be all the rage on TikTok these days. But me? I'm all about the oranges and cream. Well, an orange creamsicle, to be exact. This Orange Creamsicle Protein Smoothie is a delicious blend of citrus and non-dairy "cream," rolled together into one dreamy drink. Oh, and as the name suggests, it's also packed with protein, making it perfect for breakfast, lunch, post-workout, or any time that you're craving a delicious and healthy smoothie treat! 
This recipe is also gluten-free, vegan-friendly, paleo-friendly, refined sugar-free... and fits pretty much any diet and/or lifestyle!

Ingredients

For the Smoothie:

  • 1 Banana frozen - I like to cut mine into coins, but that is totally optional.
  • 3/4 Cup Cauliflower frozen
  • 1/2 Cup Orange Juice
  • 1/2 Cup Non-Dairy Milk I use almond milk, but any non-dairy milk works well! You can also use water, if you prefer.
  • 1/3 Cup Full Fat Coconut Milk from the can; you can also use "light" coconut milk, if you prefer.
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Almond Extract
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Scoop Unflavored Protein Powder OR Collagen Peptides For a plant-based option, you can also use 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed meal instead.

For the Garnishes:

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Orange Zest
  • Whipped Coconut Cream

Instructions

  • Start by adding all of your smoothie ingredients to a blender.
  • Then, blend until it's smooth and reaches your desired consistency. If you like it thicker, you can add in more ice. If you like it more liquid-y, add in more of your liquids (orange juice, non-dairy milk, or coconut milk).
  • Pour it into a large glass and garnish with your desired toppings.
  • Serve and enjoy!
