Preheat oven to 350.
Line a muffin tin with liners or grease well.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, orange juice, eggs, orange zest, vanilla extract, and melted coconut oil.
Next, add the almond flour, cacao/cocoa, and baking soda. Stir until just combined, but don’t over mix.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour batter into the muffin tin.
Sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top!
Bake for 16-18 minutes, until batter comes out clean with a toothpick.
Let cool completely.
Garnish with extra orange zest if desired.
