If there's one recipe that you need in your repertoire to impress your friends and family, it's the simple and easy 5-Ingredient Popover. Also known as Yorkshire Pudding, these little breads are golden on the outside, buttery on the inside, and practically melt in your mouth. Plus, they're made from just five simple pantry staples, making them easy to whip up for any occasion!

Ingredients

  • 3 Eggs warmed to room temperature - this is important!
  • 1 ½ Cups Milk warmed slightly - 30 seconds in the microwave
  • 1 ½ Cups Bread Flour or All-Purpose Flour leveled-off
  • 1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ¼ Cup Unsalted Butter melted

Instructions

  • To make these popovers, start by preheating your oven to 425 F.
  • Next, add the eggs, milk, flour, sea salt, and baking powder to a blender and blend for 30-seconds, until smooth.
  • While the ingredients are blending, melt the butter. Then, stop the blender, remove the lid, and add in the melted butter. Blend for another 20 seconds, until the batter is smooth but thin.
  • Next, grease a muffin tin with butter or oil and divide the batter equally amongst the 12 muffin cavities. You should be able to fill them just a little more than halfway.
  • Bake the popovers for 20 minutes. Then, reduce the heat to 350 F and bake them for 10 more minutes. Do not open the oven until the very end! This is very important, to ensure that the popovers turn out light and fluffy.
  • If you want the popovers a little more golden on the top, turn on the broiler for 1 minute at the very end. Be sure to watch them carefully, so that they don't burn.
  • Finally, remove them from the oven once they're done and allow them to cool slightly. Then, serve them and enjoy!
