    SPICY LEMON ARUGULA PASTA - INGREDIENTS1 16 oz package of penne pasta of choice1/4 cup olive oil6 garlic cloves, mashed1 tsp red chili flakes2-3 cups organic arugula1 lemon, juiced and zested1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese1 tsp sea salt

    SPICY LEMON ARUGULA PASTA

    Ingredients

    • 1 16 oz package of penne pasta of choice
    • ¼ cup olive oil
    • 6 garlic cloves, mashed
    • 1 tsp red chili flakes
    • 2-3 cup organic arugula
    • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
    • ½ cups grated parmesan cheese
    • 1 tsp sea salt

    Instructions 

    1. Prepare pasta according to package instructions. 
    2. When pasta is done, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water. 
    3. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-low heat. 
    4. Add garlic and stir for about 2 minutes, stirring but being careful not to let it burn. 
    5. Add red chili flakes and sea salt and stir for one more minute. 
    6. Remove from heat and set aside. 
    7. Add the cooked pasta to the pan with the olive oil/ garlic sauce, mixing to coat well. 
    8. Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, arugula, reserved pasta water, and parmesan cheese, stirring to coat everything well. 
    9. Serve and enjoy!!!!
