When it comes to the perfect summertime drink, there is nothing more quintessential to the season than Lemonade. But recently, I discovered Limonada, a Brazilian drink that is everything that you know and love about lemonade, but made with limes and mixed with creamy condensed milk for a drink that is tart refreshing, sweet, and creamy. My dairy-free version of the Viral Brazilian Limonada is truly the drink of the summer, this year, and I know that you are absolutely going to love it!
1 Blender
You already know that my Vitamix is my ride-or-die blender. It is my favorite kitchen gadget, and I use it every single day!
- 5 Limes washed and cut into quarters
- 4 Cups Cold Water
- 1 Can Condensed Milk you can also use coconut condensed milk!
- 3-4 Cups Ice Cubes
Start by chopping your limes into quarters, and add them to a blender along with the cold water.
Blend on high for about 40 seconds, being careful not to over-blend- this will make the Limonada bitter!
Strain the liquid into a bowl or jar, then discard the leftover limes.
Wash your blender thoroughly, then add the lime juice ONLY back to the blender along with the ice and can of condensed milk.
Blend for another 30-40 seconds, then transfer to a glass and enjoy! Store any leftovers back in the fridge, for up to three days.
