When you're craving a creamy, delicious drink that's both filling and healthy, then let me introduce you to Tahn. Tahn is a traditional Armenian yogurt drink that consists of plain yogurt, cucumbers, and herbs. But my take on it also includes gut-healthy ingredients for a drink that will feel as good as it looks. As we move into 2023, this Gut Healthy Armenian Yogurt Drink is a new staple in my household, and I know will be a beloved staple in yours as well!
1 Blender
I love my Vitamix blender, and will always recommend it!
- 2 Cups Greek Yogurt or substitute a non-dairy yogurt
- 2 Cups Water
- 1 English Cucumber peeled and chopped
- 2 Tablespoons Dried Mint
- 1 Teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1 Sprig Fresh Mint optional; for garnishing
Start by chopping your cucumber into slices. You can peel it first or keep the skin on for some extra fiber!
Next, add it to a blender along with the rest of your ingredients and blend until smooth and creamy. If you prefer your drink to be thicker, you can add more yogurt or less water, and if you want it runnier, you can add more water until it reaches your desired consistency!
Once your drink is fully blended, pour it into a glass, garnish with a sprig of fresh mint (if desired), and enjoy! This recipe makes 6 drinks, so it’s perfect to serve a crowd, or store any leftovers in a juice jar or airtight container, in the fridge, for up to one week. Enjoy!
