Preheat oven to 300.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, tahini, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, cardamom, cinnamon, and sea salt.
Next, add the nuts and coconut shreds.
Stir to coat everything well.
Transfer the granola to the baking sheet and press down, so the ingredients are in one layer, but as close together as possible.
Bake for 15 minutes, then rotate the tray and bake for another 15 minutes.
Allow the granola to cool for 15 minutes and then add the chocolate chips (the chocolate should melt just a little).
Once completely cool, break the granola apart and enjoy!!!
