If there's only one drink that you make this summer, let it be The Best Lemonade Frosé. This frozen rosé-based drink comes together with a blend of rosé wine, lemonade, and a homemade lemon syrup that is a little sweet, and little tart, and totally delicious. It's perfect for sipping outside on a warm summer day or while grilling in the backyard!
Ice Cube Tray
the key to making this drink a frosé is to freeze the rosé ahead of time, which means freezing it into ice cubes!Blender
a blender helps the frosé come together perfectly!
For the Lemonade Frosé:
- 1 Bottle Dry Rosé Wine
- 1 Cup Lemonade
- ½ Cup Lemon Syrup optional but highly recommended
For the Lemon Syrup:
- 1 Cup Cane Sugar
- ¾ Cup Water
- 1 Lemon zested
- 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
To make this Lemonade Frosé, start by preparing the ice cubes. Pour the rosé into an ice cube tray and transfer to the freezer overnight. Note that the cubes may still be somewhat icy, as alcohol doesn't freeze as perfectly as water.
Next, prepare the lemon syrup. Heat a small saucepan, on the stove, over medium heat, and add in the cane sugar, water, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
Whisk vigorously until the sugar dissolves and the mixture starts to bubble.
Then, turn off the heat and allow the syrup to cool completely. Transfer the syrup to an airtight glass jar until you're ready to serve.
When you're ready to prepare the frosé, add all of the ice cubes to a blender alongside the lemonade and 1/2 cup of the lemon syrup.
Blend the ingredients together until they form a slushy consistency.
Once the frosé is done, transfer it to a large glass.
Garnish with a slice of lemon, then serve and enjoy!
