Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip

 August 23, 2024

If there’s one recipe that you need in your back pocket, it’s a delicious homemade ranch recipe. Ranch dressing is a staple in my household, and is perfect for serving alongside cut up veggies, in a wrap, on top of a salad, or even as a dip for your favorite sandwiches! This is my Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip, and it comes together with just a few, simple, high-protein ingredients for a healthier twist on the classic ranch dressing. What’s not to love about that?

Why You’ll Love This Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip

Friends, let me tell you about my number one tip for preparing food for parties: make sure there are lots of dips. I don’t know what it is about a party that makes me crave all of the delicious dips (and, a big platter of cut baguette, pita bread, chips, and veggies to dip into them!)

But, whether it’s a sweet and creamy dip like my Brownie Batter Sugar Cookie Dip, a tangy and crunchy dip like my Viral “Fried” Pickle Dip, or a delicious, dairy-free queso, there is nothing that feeds a crowd quite like a delicious dip. And this High Protein Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip? It may just be my favorite one yet!

But, don’t just take my word for it… my boys love it, too! And that’s because it tastes like your classic ranch dressing, only made healthier thanks to the addition of protein-packed cottage cheese and greek yogurt. Before you ask, yes, I am well-aware that protein packed foods are having their moment on TikTok right now. But, while I don’t usually ascribe to diet trends, especially when they involve focusing on one macronutrient, when it comes to protein, I am all about it!

Protein is what not only helps you develop muscle, but it also keeps you feeling fuller and more satisfied for longer. It’s why I love leaning on protein-rich recipes like my Green Goddess Chicken Salad and my High Protein Skillet Lasagna to help me meet my protein needs. But, if you’re looking for a recipe that is more low-maintenance and versatile, this one is it.

I LOVE dipping my favorite cut veggies, crackers, sandwiches, wraps, or even pizza into this ranch dressing. It’s creamy, delicious, and only takes a few minutes to throw together and keep in the fridge. Trust me when I say that this is one recipe you’ll want to have on repeat!

What You Need to Make This Creamy Dip Recipe

  • Cottage Cheese: Of course, the key to making this Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip is… cottage cheese! Cottage cheese is perfectly creamy and packed with protein, and is the perfect base for this dip. I highly recommend using the Good Culture cottage cheese – it’s my favorite!
  • Greek Yogurt: Not only does the greek yogurt make this dip perfectly smooth and creamy, but it also adds even more protein to this dip, without changing the flavor. What could be better than that?
  • Chicken Broth: Don’t knock it until you try it – the chicken broth adds a rich and delicious flavor to this dip, as well as some extra protein.
  • Garlic: I always recommend using fresh garlic, whenever possible. The flavor is truly unbeatable!
  • Seasonings: This Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip is perfectly-seasoned with a combination of dried onion, dried dill, and dried parsley. It’s simple and perfect!
A hand dips a carrot stick into a bowl of creamy herb dip, surrounded by fresh celery sticks and slices of baguette on a plate. The scene is set on a light surface with a pink cloth partially visible in the background.
Blend the ingredients on high, for 20-30 seconds, until they’re smooth and creamy. Once the dip has come together, taste and adjust the seasonings as needed.
