These adorable little cubes are the perfect treat anytime that you need to cool down! My High Protein Strawberry Yogurt Cubes use only five different ingredients, and can be eaten on their own, as a snack, or can be mixed in with a smoothie! They soften in minutes, making them super easy to eat, and they also happen to be gluten-free, refined sugar-free, and vegetarian-friendly.

I love a good smoothie, but let’s be honest: a smoothie isn’t exactly a snack. Sure, you can whip up a smoothie in seconds, but when it comes to snacking, I want something with a little more bite. And since I love smoothies so much, I knew I needed to find a way to create a smoothie-like snack. And lo and behold, I think I’ve done it.
These High Protein Strawberry Yogurt Cubes are the perfect snack to take on-the-go, and remind me of my Low Sugar Strawberries n’ Cream Smoothie, just in a cuter, protein-packed cube! They come together with a base of greek yogurt, which is not only one of my favorite smoothie ingredients, but is also loaded with protein, and is lower in lactose, so it’s gentler on your stomach. If you’re dairy-free, you could try using coconut yogurt instead, but I love the extra benefits of using greek yogurt!
Plus, another perk about making this recipe? You can totally change it up! While I’m using strawberries in this recipe, you can swap out the strawberries for any fruit you’d like. Or, go crazy and use chocolate! This recipe is highly customizable, so make it to your liking!

What You Need to Make These Adorable Yogurt Cubes
As mentioned earlier, you only need FIVE simple and easy ingredients to make this recipe! That’s it!
- Greek Yogurt: As noted above, you’ll want to use plain greek yogurt in this recipe. Greek yogurt is higher in protein and lower in lactose, making it great option for **most** people.
- Maple Syrup: A touch of maple syrup adds the perfect touch of natural sweetness, making these cubes sweet without the added sugar!
- Vanilla Extract: A touch of vanilla extract adds the perfect vanilla flavor, and mixes well with all types of fruit. Don’t skip this!
- Collagen Peptides: If you are vegetarian, or don’t have collagen peptides on-hand, then don’t worry. These are not necessary to make this recipe. However, I like adding them in for an extra boost of protein!
- Strawberries: I love using strawberries in this recipe, because the mixture of creamy yogurt and fresh, sweet strawberries is truly unbeatable. However, you can use any fruit in place of the strawberries!

How to Make These Smoothie-Like Cubes
This is the easiest part! To make these cubes, simply add all of the ingredients to a large bowl and mix to fully combine.
Next, transfer your yogurt mixture to an ice cube tray and freeze overnight. That’s it!
These cubes soften rather quickly, so once you’re ready to eat them, simply remove them from the freezer and let them sit for 1-2 minutes. Eat as many as your heart desires, and store any leftovers in the freezer for up to three months! Enjoy!
