    Ingredients

    • 1 package True Story Foods Organic Spicy Chicken Sausage (or sausage or choice)
    • 1 box chickpea pasta (or pasta of choice)
    • 1 14.5 oz can fire roasted diced tomatoes
    • 1 cup basil, roughly torn apart
    • 1 bulb fennel, thinly sliced (optional)
    • 2 cloves garlic, mashed
    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • 1 tsp sea salt
    • pinch black pepper
    • 4 ½ cups water (I used Bonafide Provisions Chicken Bone Broth)

    Instructions

    1. Add all of the ingredients to a big pot and place on the stove and stir together (I used a 3.5 quart Le Creuset).
    2. Bring to a soft boil.
    3. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, and cover for 9-11 minutes.
    4. At the half way point, remove cover and stir so the pasta doesn’t stick together.
    5. Replace cover and remove from heat and enjoy!

Hi Erica, good question! You’ll want to pre-cook the sausages before making this recipe 🙂 hope that helps!
