Vegan Salted Caramel Sauce

VEGAN SALTED CARAMEL SAUCE - INGREDIENTS3/4 can full fat coconut milk2 tablespoons tapioca flour (or arrowroot)1/4 cup coconut sugar 1 tablespoon coconut oil1 teaspoon vanilla extract1/2 teaspoon sea salt1/4 cup maple syrup

Ingredients

  • ¾ can full fat coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp tapioca flour (or arrowroot)
  • ¼ cup coconut sugar 
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ cup maple syrup

Instructions

  • In a small pot on the stove, whisk together all ingredients except for the tapioca / arrowroot flour. 
  • Bring to a light boil, then reduce heat to low and stir gently for about 15 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add tapioca / arrowroot, and mix together well so there are no chunks.
  • Gently stir on and off for about 20 minutes, letting it cool. 
  • The sauce will thicken only slightly but the taste will be insane!! 
  • Enjoy!
