Friends, have you met my dearest friend, Hannah, of Lovely Delites? She is not only one of my favorite recipe creators on Instagram, but she also happens to be a dear friend of mine. So, when she came into town a few weeks ago to create some fun recipes together in my kitchen, I knew that we had to share our own take on this Viral Chicken Crust Caesar Salad Pizza trend. I recently saw this recipe floating around on TikTok, and couldn’t wait to try it!

One of the coolest parts about this pizza recipe is that it is completely GRAIN-FREE and comes together with zero flour. And, if you’re asking yourself how that’s possible, it’s because this pizza crust is made from chicken! By combining canned chicken with an egg, seasonings, and some parmesan cheese, the end result is a crispy, baked chicken crust!

Plus, it’s topped with a delicious caesar salad that is made with my high-protein, healthy caesar salad dressing. This recipe is truly the perfect balance of indulgent and healthy, and is perfect for meal-prepping at the beginning of the week. Just prepare the crust ahead of time and store it in the fridge, alongside a big jar of the dressing. When you’re ready to eat, just warm the crust, assemble the salad, and you’ve got a delicious meal ready in minutes!

All of the ingredients needed to make this viral chicken crust caesar salad pizza, laid out on a countertop
To make this pizza, you will need canned chicken, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes, plain greek yogurt, lemon juice, anchovy, garlic, ground black pepper, and romaine lettuce.
A food processor, filled with all of the ingredients needed to make this chicken crust caesar salad pizza
Add all of the ingredients to make the chicken pizza crust to a food processor: the canned chicken, egg, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper flakes. Pulse until the ingredients are well-combined.

What You Need to Make This Grain-Free, High-Protein Pizza Recipe

    • Canned Chicken: In order to make the chicken crust, you’ll need canned chicken. Not only does the canned chicken make this recipe super easy to prepare, but it also makes it budget-friendly, too!
    • Parmesan Cheese: I always recommend freshly grated parmesan cheese, whenever possible. It adds the best flavor to this dish!
    • Garlic Powder: Garlic powder adds a delicious flavor to the baked chicken crust. Don’t skip this!
    • Crushed Red Pepper Flakes: Crushed red pepper flakes add the perfect amount of heat!
    • Plain Greek Yogurt: Plain greek yogurt makes this dressing packed with protein!
    • Lemon Juice: No caesar salad is complete without a little lemon juice!
    • Anchovy: Yes, it’s true: your beloved Caesar salad dressing does, in fact, contain anchovies. We will be using one anchovy in this recipe. If you prefer, you can substitute it out for Worcestershire sauce or even capers. But, I recommend using the whole anchovy!
    • Garlic: I highly recommend using fresh garlic, in this recipe. It truly makes a difference!
    • Ground Black Pepper: Ground black pepper adds the perfect finishing touch to this recipe.
    • Romaine Lettuce: Romaine lettuce is the classic base for a caesar salad! Just make sure that it is washed and chopped.
The crispy chicken crust, laid out on a baking sheet
Once the mixture is done, transfer it to the baking sheet. Using clean hands, press the ingredients into a circle, about 1/4 inch thick. Then, transfer it to the oven and allow it to bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and firm to the touch.

How to Make This Easy Chicken Caesar Salad Pizza

To make this pizza, start by preheating your oven to 375 F. Next, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside. Then, add all of the ingredients to make the chicken pizza crust to a food processor: the canned chicken, egg, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper flakes. Pulse until the ingredients are well-combined.

Once the mixture is done, transfer it to the baking sheet. Using clean hands, press the ingredients into a circle, about 1/4 inch thick. If the mixture is sticky, just add a little oil to the palm of your hands before working the mixture together. Then, transfer it to the oven and allow it to bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and firm to the touch. Once it’s done, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool.

A blender, filled with the high-protein healthy caesar dressing
While the crust is in the oven, prepare the dressing by adding all of the dressing ingredients to a blender and blending until smooth.

Once the pizza crust is done, add the salad on top. Garnish with an extra sprinkle of parmesan cheese and ground black pepper (if desired), then serve and enjoy!

While the crust is in the oven, prepare the dressing by adding all of the dressing ingredients to a blender and blending until smooth. Then, wash and chop the romaine lettuce and add it to a bowl alongside the parmesan cheese and dressing. Toss the salad until it is fully combined with the dressing.

Once the pizza crust is done, add the salad on top. Garnish with an extra sprinkle of parmesan cheese and ground black pepper (if desired), then serve and enjoy!

This looks delicious and would love to try but I live in Switzerland and canned chicken does not exist here. In fact, have never seen it in europe! Can i use regular chicken?

I’ve been dying to try this virtual chicken pizza crust. I had a few issues with the crust sticking to the parchment paper. Any ideas why? Also it was a little dry but I may have overcooked it

Hi Cyndi! If it’s sticky, you can work a little bit of oil into the crust to help with the texture. This should also help the dryness issue. I hope this helps!

This was so bad. So so dry I couldn’t even eat it and had to throw it away.
