Healthy Gut Immunity Shots

With the seasons turning from winter to spring, common colds and allergies are in the air. Which means, it's time to give your immune system a boost with my Healthy Gut Immunity Shots. These shots are small but mighty, and are packed with a flavorful combination of fresh citrus, herbs, and apple cider vinegar for the perfect gut-healthy way to start your day!

Equipment

  • 1 Blender You already know that my Vitamix is my ride-or-die blender. It is my favorite kitchen gadget, and I use it every single day!

Ingredients

  • 3 Oranges peeled
  • 1 Lemon peeled
  • 2 Inches Fresh Ginger sliced - or substitute 1 tablespoon of ground ginger
  • 2 Inches Fresh Turmeric sliced - or substitute 1 tablespoon of ground
  • 1 Tablespoon Oregano Oil optional but highly recommended
  • ½ Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 ½ Cups Water

Instructions

  • To make these Heathy Gut Shots, start by adding all of the ingredients to a high-speed blender.
  • Blend all of the ingredients until they're smooth.
  • Then, strain any of the remaining pulp out of the mixture by placing a fine mesh strainer over a large jar and pouring the mixture into the strainer. Discard the pulp.
  • Finally, pour the mixture into 12 mini bottles, or one large jar. Store in the fridge and enjoy every morning!
