If you're looking for your newest snack obsession, then prepare to fall in-love with these Viral Crispy Onion Ring Chips. These 4-ingredient Onion Ring Chips are similar to the classic onion rings that you know and love... but with a cheesy, low-carb twist. Serve these with a side of pizza sauce, and you'll see just why this recipe has gone so viral!

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet a baking sheet is essential to ensuring that the onions bake evenly!

Ingredients

  • 1 Onion sliced into 1/4 inch rounds
  • ¾ -1 Cup Parmesan Cheese freshly grated
  • 2 Teaspoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Italian Seasoning

Instructions

  • To make these Onion Ring Chips, start by preheating your oven to 400 F.
  • Next, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  • Then, prepare the onion. Remove the skin from the onion, then slice them thin using a mandolin or a sharp knife. You want the onion slices to be approximately 1/4 inch thick.
  • Next, grate the parmesan cheese onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and spread it out into an even layer.
  • Lay the onion slices across the top of the parmesan cheese.
  • Brush the onion slices with olive oil then sprinkle them with Italian seasoning.
  • Then, transfer the baking sheet into the oven and allow the onions to bake for 20-22 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
  • Once the onions are done, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. Then, lift the onion chips off of the parchment paper.
  • Break the onion chips into pieces, serve with a side of warm pizza sauce (if desired) and enjoy!
