5 Things I’m Wearing In 2021

Recipe by:

The year is 2021, where comfort is still key. But unlike 2020, where we were all stuck home, this year we seem to have a bit more freedom to leave our homes (and pray we don’t get Covid!!). Which means that it’s time to step up our fashion game. Each season, I buy a few pieces to add to my wardrobe, making sure to stick to classic pieces that I can wear season after season, and I always believe in quality over quantity. I hope you enjoy my top 5 picks; things that you can enjoy wearing all year. And what ever you do, you need to get the pajamas! They will change your life!

No. 1 – The Cheetah Beanie

If you’ve been following me on Instagram for any length of time, you know that I have a mild – or, not-so-mild – obsession with beanies. I probably have 50 of them! I love when the temperature drops, so I can throw one on. Besides warmth, beanies are the perfect fashion accessory when you are having a bad hair day; which, in my case, is the majority of the time. This Cheetah beanie from Rag & Bone is one of my favorites from this season, and the quality is fantastic, and I’ll have it for years to come!

No. 2 The Best All Year Long Boots

Several months ago, I invested in these boots – also from Rag & Bone. I wear them every chance I get. Not only are they comfortable, they have a thick, rubber sole (you won’t slip!), and they have a nice, chunky platform – because who doesn’t like a little extra height. These are pricey, but again, these are a pair of boots that you will have for many years to come, if you take care of them. The best part? They are on MAJOR sale right now on the Rag & Bone website!

    No. 3 – Faux Jeans

To be honest, I never thought I’d be into this whole faux jeans thing. But, now that I am practically living at home 24/7, I needed a change up from all the sweats I am wearing. And, my beloved Rag & Bone makes faux jeans that fit like a damn dream! They are high waisted and so soft. They scrunch up at the bottom so you can wear ankle boots or a cute pair of sneakers. I am absolutely obsessed with this purchase, and wish I bought them sooner than I did!

And if you like my boots in the below photo, they are the Shaye High Boots from Rag & Bone (can you tell I am obsessed with this brand!?!). As with all their shoes, they are super comfy, stylish, and fit true-to-size. I wear a size 8.

No. 4 The Ultimate Silk Sleep Set

I never knew how much I valued comfortable pajamas until 2020; the year where self-care became the most important thing I could do for myself. So I splurged on the classic Lunya Washable Silk Pajamas Set, and I will never sleep in anything else ever again. I love them so much, I now have the set in 3 different colors – black, ginger (pictured), and bare! If you are wondering whether the hype is worth it, the answer is YES!!!

    No. 5 – A Cute & Comfy Sweatshirt

Since I am also living in sweatshirts these days, I have started investing in them more, purchasing more classic pieces and ditching the cheap ones. Every year, I treat myself to a new Anine Bing sweatshirt. They are classic, comfy, and high quality, and make me feel a little edgy, too! My 2021 pick is the Los Angeles sweatshirt. Even if you don’t live in Los Angeles, you still need it. I wear it with the perfect black leggings and the faux jeans I shared above; and of course, a cute beanie!
