I’m going to come out and say it: this may be your new favorite salad dressing, dip, and sauce, all in one. That’s right, my Honey Chipotle Dressing is so much more than just a delicious salad dressing. In fact, I love dipping fresh veggies into it, cooking my favorite proteins in it, and, of course, drizzling it over a crisp, delicious salad. This recipe is also gluten-free, dairy-free optional, and free of refined sugars, so what are you waiting for?! Run, don’t walk, to your kitchen and go make this dressing!
Friends, do you remember those days when eating a salad without dressing was the latest food trend? I don’t know about you, but I always hated that trend. First, salads are SO MUCH BETTER with the dressing. Not only does the dressing add depth and flavor, but it makes your salad greens way less boring.
Second, salad dressings can also be incredibly healthy as well! While they often get a bad rep for being high in calories or fat, when we make or consume dressings that use real, healthy ingredients, they can often be a great way to get some of our necessary nutrients. For example, in this dressing, we are using greek yogurt (or plant-based yogurt), which not only adds protein, but also adds healthy fats that our body and brains need to operate!
While store-bought dressings can often be full of added sugars or other ingredients that may not be the healthiest for us (PSA: it’s still totally okay to buy pre-made dressings!) I love making homemade dressing because it’s quick, easy, and a super easy way to make your salads both healthy AND delicious!
All you need are 7 simple ingredients to make this perfect Honey Chipotle Dressing! It’s so simple and easy, and you may even have the ingredients already stocked in your kitchen.
This dressing is so easy to make, you’ll want to make it every week. Simply start by adding all of your dressing ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Once the ingredients are fully combined, stop the blender and check the consistency of your dressing. If you prefer a thicker consistency, you can add more yogurt. If you prefer a thinner consistency, add more water.
Blend until your desired consistency is reached. Then, once your dressing is done, transfer it to a covered container and store it in the fridge for up to one week. Use it on your favorite salads, vegetables, or proteins, and enjoy!
