Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and I don’t know why, but I’m particularly excited for it this year. Maybe it’s because, after a difficult 2021, we all need a little more love, and a lot more reason to celebrate! Or, maybe it’s because all of the Valentine’s Day decor is especially cute this year. But either way, I’m so excited for Valentine’s Day, and for all of the fun recipes that we are dreaming up!

This recipe is quite possibly the easiest, yet cutest, Valentine’s Day recipe that you’ll make this year. It only takes a few minutes and a few ingredients, and you’ve got the perfect Valentine’s Day treat. I love making these for Valentine’s Day parties (are those still a thing?!) or even for my boys to take a school. If you’re a mom too, then you KNOW the stress that can come with making Valentines for everyone in the class. This recipe takes all of the stress out of that, by making it so easy to make a quick batch of treats that will satisfy everyone!

If I were making this for one of my boy’s classrooms, I would make the whole package of Oreo cookies, and then individually wrap each one (or two!) in a cellophane bag. It’s the perfect alternative to traditional paper valentines, and let’s be honest, what kid wouldn’t prefer an Oreo cookie instead?!

Plus, like I mentioned earlier, this recipe also happens to be dairy-free, and the white chocolate that I’m using is also refined sugar-free. Not that there’s ANYTHING wrong with sugar or dairy (we celebrate ALL foods, here!) In fact, some of my favorite cookie recipes, like my Gluten-Free Brown Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies or my Life Changing Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookies, use a little sugar and/or dairy. And guess what – THAT’S OKAY!

But, there’s a tendency with Valentine’s Day for people to over-indulge on sweets, and I say this having been in that position too. And while there’s nothing wrong with eating sweets from time-to-time, if there are ways that we can enjoy the foods we love and make them a little healthier / gentler on our guts, then I’m all for it. This Valentine’s Day, we’re enjoying the treats we love AND taking care of our bodies. It’s a win-win!

What You Need to Make These White Chocolate Dipped “Oreos”

All you need are four simple ingredients in order to make these White Chocolate Dipped Oreos!

    • Oreo Cookies: For this recipe, I’m using the Newman’s brand “Oreo” cookies, because they’re organic and full of “better-for-you” ingredients. But you can use any Oreo cookies here!
    • White Chocolate Chips: Like I mentioned earlier, I’m using the Lily’s brand white chocolate chips to keep this recipe dairy-free and lower in sugar (these chips are completely refined sugar-free!) However, you can use any white chocolate chips that you have / desire.
    • Coconut Oil: Coconut oil will help make the chocolate melt, and form a thick, chocolatey sauce! Plus, it’ll also help the chocolate harden in the fridge and stick to the Oreo cookies, which is an obvious “must” for this recipe!
    • Heart-Shaped Sprinkles: In this recipe, we’re using traditional, heart-shaped sprinkles. I get mine off of Amazon, but you can also find them at Michael’s or any craft store!

Can You Make This Recipe with Regular Oreos?

YES! You can absolutely make this recipe with regular Oreos. Like I said early, ALL foods are on-limits here, is if you want to use traditional Oreos, that is totally fine!

I personally like to use an organic alternative, but that’s just me. Use what works for you and what is available to you! This recipe is nearly impossible to mess up, so any variation of an Oreo cookies should work just fine. 🙂

How to Make These White Chocolate Dipped “Oreos”

    1. Start by pouring your white chocolate chips into a bowl and adding in the coconut oil.
    2. Place your bowl in the microwave and heat for two, 30-second increments, stirring between each one. If you don’t have a microwave, you can use the double-boiler method on the stove.
    3. Once the chocolate is melted, set it aside.
    4. Pour your sprinkles into a separate bowl.
    5. Carefully dip each Oreo cookie into the white chocolate, and then, roll it in the sprinkles.
    6. Once the cookies are fully coated, transfer them to a lined tray or plate.
    7. Refrigerate the cookies for 20 minutes or until the chocolate fully sets.
    8. Eat and enjoy!

I hope you love this recipe! If you make it, be sure to leave a RATING + COMMENT below and let me know what you think! And if you post to Instagram, I repost your remakes on my IG stories, so tag me!
