Ingredients
- 1 cup vermicelli noodles (or the thinnest you can find. Orzo works too)
- 1 ½ cups white rice (I use Basmati)
- 2 tbsp butter (or vegan butter)
- 3 cups water (or broth of choice)
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large pot on the stove.
- Once melted, add the noodles.
- You need to stir for about 3-4 minutes until the noodles turn brown. Just be careful that they don’t burn, so watch it, because it goes from brown to black fast.
- Remove from heat.
- Add the rice and water/broth and stir (it might sizzle a little!).
- Return to the stove, turn heat to low, cover with a lid, and set timer for 20 minutes.
- Once done, fluff rice and serve!
- Add sea salt to taste.
- Enjoy!
