Looking for a simple yet festive way to spruce up your cocktails for the holiday season? Well, look no further because this is it! These Holiday Pomegranate Ice Cubes are a fun and flavorful way to take any cocktail recipe to the next level, without watering it down. They come together with only 4 ingredients, and can be completely customized to meet your holiday cocktail needs!

Friends, what has your favorite food trend of 2022 been? For me, mine has undoubtedly been ice cube tray recipes. From my Ultimate Fruit Ice Cubes to my Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Cubes, ice cube trays are for so much more than just making ice. In fact, they can be the key to making so many healthy and delicious recipes!
But aside from the deliciousness of these recipes, I also love ice cube trays because they are a “set it and forget it” type of recipe. You can’t necessarily freeze them for too long, and you don’t need to watch them, either. They’re the perfect recipes for busy moms like me who don’t always have time to sit and watch something cook!
And these Holiday Pomegranate Ice Cubes are no exception. They are such a delicious and easy way to keep your cocktails cool, without watering them down! And that’s because instead of using water to make these ice cubes, we’re using pomegranate juice. Why? Well, not only does pomegranate juice make for the perfect base for my Holiday Pomegranate Mimosas, but once they melt, they add a delicious, sweet, pomegranate flavor that won’t water it down. Because let’s be honest: the holidays are too stressful for watered-down drinks. 😉

What You Need to Make These Cocktail-Friendly Ice Cubes
As mentioned above, all you need are four different ingredients to bring these holiday cocktails to life!
- Fresh Cranberries: Fresh cranberries are a quintessential holiday ingredient! I love using them this time of year to add the perfect amount of tartness to recipes.
- Orange: A few slices of fresh orange add the perfect amount of zest and tang!
- Fresh Rosemary: The combination of rosemary and pomegranate is way too good to pass up. Just make sure that you use fresh rosemary for the best flavor!
- Pomegranate Juice: Of course, the star of this show is the pomegranate juice. It’s how we’re going to make Holiday Pomegranate Mimosas! If you want to get funky, you can also try swapping out the pomegranate juice for another type of fruit juice.

My Favorite Ice Cube Tray to Use
To make these ice cubes we, of course, need an ice cube tray. And while any ice cube tray works, I have truly found that some ice cube trays are better than others!
Personally, I love using ice cube trays with lids. Why? Because it ensures that none of your ingredients spill out! These trays from Amazon are perfect because they’re nice and deep, and also come with lids, so you can stack them in your freezer without worrying about messing up your precious ice cubes!
How to Make These Simple & Easy Ice Cubes
Now, this is the easiest part. To make these ice cubes, simply start by chopping your oranges into small slices. You may also want to chop your rosemary into smaller sprigs as well.
Next, place your cranberries into the ice cube trays, along with your chopped oranges and rosemary.
Finally, fill each cavity of the ice cube tray to the top with pomegranate juice, then freeze them overnight. Once they’re done, pop 3-4 of them into a glass along with some Prosecco (or beverage of choice), serve, and enjoy! Store any leftover cubes back in the freezer for up to three months.

Made this recipe. LOVED it. My guests also loved it. Served with Prosecco and also with ginger ale for those who don’t drink alcohol. Super delicious!!
Yum! Ginger Ale sounds like a great addition to this recipe, Evelyn! Thank you so much for making it, and for leaving such a kind review!
Made these for Christmas Day! Interestingly I could not find fresh cranberries so I used pomegranate seeds instead. Super fun and festive and a great way to use the Prosecco left over from my daughters summer wedding. Thank you!
I made this for Christmas morning mimosas. My adult daughters thought the cubes were a nice touch.
Do you peel the orange or include the peel?
Hi Elissa, you can do either or!
Hello, Nicole. Can I use pomegranate cranberry juice from concentrate for the ice cubes? Thank you
Hi Bella, yes you can!
These turned out so great! Very festive and everyone was so impressed. The kids enjoyed putting them in juice or Sprite, and the adults enjoyed them in mimosas or Prosecco. I made several batches using different kinds of juices (pomegranate, blueberry, and cranberry).
I am so happy to hear that, Jamie! Thank you so much for your review!
