Friends, what is your favorite way to add some more excitement to ordinary fruits and veggies? For me, lately, it has been to add Tajín to them. If you are unfamiliar with this magical seasoning blend, then let me be the first to tell you that once you are put on to Tajín, your life won’t be the same. I’m only slightly kidding, but it really is so good!

If you’ve never tried Tajin, then my friends, you are missing out. Tajin is a chili-lime seasoning that is more flavorful than it is spicy. Yet, it adds the perfect amount of spice to kick up any dish.

Tajin is a dried seasoning that consists of a blend of Mexican chili peppers (árbol, guajillo and pasillachilies, to be exact), along with dried lime and sea salt. It originated in Jalisco, Mexico, but has quickly rose in popularity here in the USA because of how good it tastes on everything!

Traditionally, you can find Tajin used on dishes like Elote (aka grilled corn on the cob that is slathered with mayo, Tajin, and cotija cheese) or on fresh mango slices, aka Mango con Chile or Mangonada.

But really, Tajin is great on anything, from fresh fruit to more savory dishes like chicken or steak tacos!

And if you’re looking for more ways to use your bottle of Tajín, I highly recommend trying my Frozen Tajín Grapes for something more sweet, or my Mayo-Free Mexican Street Corn Tostadas or Buffalo Corn Rib for something more savory with a kick!

What You Need to Make These Vibrant Peaches & Strawberries

All you need are five ingredients to bring this simple and easy recipe to life! It is so simple and easy, and it’s the perfect recipe to whip up in a pinch. 🙂

    • Peaches: Summertime is peach season, which means it’s time to load up on these delicious, juicy fruits! Peaches are not only so sweet and delicious, but they also contain both soluble and insoluble fiber, making them beneficial for our overall gut-health and digestion!
    • Strawberries: Strawberries may be small, but they pack quite the punch! These little berries are full of vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants, and can help create a positive impact on your heart health, and overall well-being. Plus, they just taste absolutely delicious.
    • Lemon Juice: You’ll want to use the juice of about one whole lemon, in this recipe!
    • Monk Fruit Sweetener: I love using monk fruit sweetener as a natural sugar alternative, because it adds the perfect amount of sweetness without the refined sugars. Lakanto makes my all-time-favorite monk fruit sweetener, and it works perfectly in this recipe!
    • Tajín Seasoning: And, of course, you need Tajin to make this recipe! You can find Tajin at your local grocery story (I always find it at Safeway, here in California!) or you can get it on Amazon.

How to Make These Simple & Easy Peaches & Strawberries

Once you see how simple and easy it is to make these Sweet & Sour Tajín Peaches and Strawberries, you won’t want to eat your fruit any other way!

Simply start by chopping your peaches and strawberries and add them to a large bowl. You can keep the skin on your peaches, or remove it – whatever you prefer!

Next, squeeze your lemon juice over the fruit, so that all of the fruit is coated in the juice.

Finally, add in the monk fruit sweetener and Tajín, and toss until the fruit is fully incorporated in it. Serve immediately, or store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Enjoy!
