Viral TikTok Crispy Parmesan Potatoes

It’s no secret that nearly everyone loves potatoes – from mashed potatoes to french fries, there are so many delicious ways to enjoy potatoes, but this way might just be my favorite yet. My Viral TikTok Crispy Parmesan Potatoes are a crispy, delicious, and dare I say, mouthwatering way to enjoy potatoes. In fact, they might even be better than fries! They come together with only 6 ingredients and in under an hour, and can easily be made dairy-free as well.

Friends, if there’s anything that I love more than a healthy recipe, it’s a healthy TikTok recipe. In the past two years, TikTok has truly changed the game when it comes to quick, easy, and (sometimes) healthy recipes. So when a new food starts to “trend” on TikTok, I know that it’s going to be good!

These crispy little potatoes have been making their rounds on TikTok for a while now, and I have to say, they may just be my favorite TikTok food trend yet. While I loved the famous Butter Board, or my take on the Viral Giant Rice Cake, there’s something about crispy, cheesy potatoes that taste so much better than anything else. I mean, what more is there to say about that?! Just the words “crispy, cheesy, and potatoes” all in one sentence is enough to make my mouth water!

If you’ve been looking for the perfect side dish to accompany your favorite chicken recipes for dinner, or pancakes for breakfast (who says these can’t be breakfast potatoes?!) then this may just become your new go-to recipe!

What You Need to Make These Perfectly Crispy Potatoes

  • Mini Potatoes: One of the best parts of this recipe? We’ll be using MINI potatoes! Not only are mini potatoes so much cuter, but they cook down nice and tender, making them the perfect melt-in-your-mouth bite!
  • Butter: What goes better with potatoes than melted butter?! You can use regular or dairy-free butter here – both work equally as well!
  • Seasonings: To season these potatoes, we’ll be using a combination of garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Yum!
  • Parmesan Cheese: We’ll need parmesan cheese both for the mixture for dressing the potatoes, and for topping the finished potatoes. To keep this recipe dairy-free, you can absolutely use a vegan parmesan alternative here!

How to Make These Cheesy, Parmesan Potatoes

Making these potatoes is so simple and easy! Simply start by preheating your oven to 425 F. Next, thoroughly wash and scrub your mini potatoes, and slice them in half. Then, set aside.

Next, in a 8×8 baking dish, add in your melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese. Mix them together with a fork, until a paste forms.

Add your potatoes to the baking dish and toss until the potatoes are fully combined in the paste. Then, sprinkle the rest of your parmesan cheese on top of the potatoes.

Finally, bake your potatoes for 35-45 minutes, depending on how crispy and golden you like your potatoes. Once they’re done, serve and enjoy! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week, and reheat in the oven or microwave as desired. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Mini Golden Potatoes sliced in half
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 Cup Butter melted; or substitute vegan butter, if desired
  • 1/3 Cup Parmesan Cheese finely grated; this is for the mixture
  • 1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese finely grated; this is for topping the potatoes!

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to 425 F.
  • Next, thoroughly wash and scrub your mini potatoes, and slice them in half. Then, set aside.
