Friends, let’s be honest: when it comes to boozy treats, Jell-O shots are so ten years ago. I mean, if I’m being honest, I can’t remember a time outside of my college days where I actually got excited seeing a Jell-O shot. Sure, they get you “there,” if you know what I mean, but they just aren’t as fun. Luckily, we have something way better.

Think of my Boozy Watermelon Sticks as a… well, classier alternative to your traditional Jell-O shots, but instead of being shots, these are delicious pieces of watermelon that you can savor and enjoy. But let’s be honest, you won’t want to savor them, you’ll want to eat them all, right away. They’re that good!

And if you really want to take the fun to the next level, why not try making my No Sugar Added Watermelon Frosé at the same time? It is a delicious drink that can be made with or without the booze, and I highly recommend it!

How to Make This Fun and Booze-Filled Treat

To make these Boozy Watermelon Sticks, all you’ll need are two ingredients: a whole watermelon, and your booze of choice. I recommend using vodka, but you could also make this recipe with tequila, rum, or any liquor that you prefer!

Then, simply slice your watermelon into “sticks” by following this tutorial. When you’re done, pull your sticks apart, place them evenly across a glass baking dish or food storage container.

Pour your liquor on top, then cover and refrigerate for at least one hour.

Once they’re done, dig in and enjoy!

    Ingredients

    • 1 Watermelon, cut into sticks
    • 6-8 Ounces Liquor of Choice, I recommend using Vodka, Rum, or Tequila!

    Instructions

    1. Start by slicing your watermelon into sticks; cut a watermelon in half, then flip one half upside down. Make slices about 2 inches apart from one another. Then, turn the watermelon around and make more slices about 2 inches apart in the opposite direction. Now you can pull apart your perfect watermelon sticks!
    2. Place your sticks evenly across a glass baking sheet or food storage container.
    3. Next, pour your liquor on top, making sure the watermelon is fully coated. Depending on how big your watermelon is, you may need more liquor. That is okay! 😉
    4. Cover and refrigerate for one hour.
    5. Remove from the fridge and enjoy! Store any leftovers back in the fridge for up to one week.
