Say “hello” to the easiest homemade almond milk recipe that you’ll ever find. This is my 1-Minute Almond Milk, and as the name suggests, it truly comes together in just one minute. Plus, it doesn’t involve any straining, which means that making this almond milk truly couldn’t be easier. No more spending $8 on a carton of almond milk from the store. With this recipe, you can have delicious, creamy, homemade almond milk ready in seconds!

Friends, do you have a favorite non-dairy milk? While some people love oat milk, and others are all about the soy milk, for me, my go-to has always been almond milk. I love how silky smooth and creamy it is, and the mild flavor that it adds to any recipe. Whether I’m using it in a creamy smoothie, blending it into a soup, or adding a splash of it to my morning coffee, almond milk is one of the most frequently-purchased ingredients in my kitchen. It’s one of the best dairy-free milk alternatives!
But, if there’s one thing that I don’t love about almond milk… it’s the cost. Here in San Francisco, a single carton of organic almond milk can cost as much as $8. And for someone who cooks as frequently as I do, that price is truly unsustainable. Luckily, there’s another way, and that’s where this recipe comes in.
This is truly the simplest and easiest way to make homemade almond milk in a pinch. The secret to making this recipe is to use slivered almonds, rather than whole almonds. Why is that? Well, slivered almonds already have the skins removed from them, which means that the blend smoothly and easily. No more spending precious time removing the skins, straining them out at the end. This recipe takes the most “annoying” step of making almond milk out of the process, so that you can have the most delicious milk in a fraction of the time.

The 4 Ingredients You’ll Need to Make This Almond Milk
- Slivered Almonds: The key to making this almond milk is to use slivered almonds, rather than whole almonds. Slivered almonds already have the skins removed from them, which means that they’ll blend really easily. It’s perfect!
- Water: A little water is essential to helping this almond milk reach the perfect, milky texture.
- Vanilla Extract: A pinch of vanilla extract adds the perfect vanilla flavor to this milk! If you want to make a plain or unflavored almond milk, you can always omit the vanilla.
- Maple Syrup: I love adding a touch of maple syrup to this almond milk, to make it slightly sweet without the refined sugars. Again, if you prefer a plain milk, you can always omit this!
