Don’t knock it until you try it – make this simple and easy recipe and see how delicious banana milk can be!
Friends, it’s no secret that one of my favorite fruits is bananas. Whether I’m eating them whole, or using them in my famous smoothies or banana bread recipes, bananas are such a delicious, sweet, and versatile ingredient. I just love them!
While bananas may have a bad reputation for being high in sugar, they are full of natural sugars and carbs, which our brain needs to function! Plus, they are naturally full of potassium, which provides energy for us. Needless to say, bananas are truly a superfood!
But when it comes to the different ways to use bananas, banana milk is often overlooked. However, I want to change that, by showing you how delicious, simple, and easy making banana milk can be! In fact, in East Asian countries like South Korea, banana milk is a popular drink that you can find in grocery and convenience stores.
And if you’re wondering what banana milk tastes like, I want to take you back to being a kid, and eating a bowl of corn flakes with milk and sliced bananas. Didn’t everyone do that?! One of the best parts of that whole combination was when the bananas would sit in the milk, leaving it with a sweet and creamy flavor. That’s exactly what this recipe tastes like; it’s a nostalgic flavor that will take you right back to childhood.
All you need are four simple ingredients to make the banana milk of your dreams- how cool is that?! In fact, you may already have these ingredients sitting in your kitchen, making it so simple and easy to throw together in a pinch.
Making this banana milk couldn’t be easier! Simply add all of your ingredients to a high-speed blender like a Vitamix and blend until smooth. If you like your milk on the thicker side, you can add in more banana, or if you like it thinner, add in more milk or water. The opportunities are endless!
Once your milk is finished, serve it immediately or store it in a mason jar, in the fridge, for up to one week. Enjoy!
And while you’re at it, why not try some of my other milk recipes? My Creamy, Dairy-Free “Nutella” Oat Milk or my Strawberry Hemp Milk are two delicious and easy options!
