Your new favorite summer salsa has arrived! This is THE Best Mango Avocado Salsa, and it is packed with chunks of sweet mango, tender avocado, red onion, and jalapeño for a sweet, creamy, spicy salsa that is delicious when served on top of your favorite tacos, or alongside crispy tortilla chips. Run, don’t walk to your kitchen, because once you see how easy it is to make this recipe, you’ll want to have it on-hand at all times!
Friends, Olivia and I are back at it again for our three-part recipe collaboration. First, we had our Frozen Strawberry Aperol Spritz, then our Air Fryer Shrimp Tacos, and then… my favorite recipe yet: our Mango Avocado Salsa. This salsa is creamy, tangy, salty, sweet, and includes two of our favorite ingredients: mangos and avocados. If you don’t follow Olivia already, you MUST. She has the best gluten-free recipes, and is one of my dearest friends!
Now, mangos tend to get a bad reputation, because they are a fruit that is higher in natural sugars. But, don’t let that deter you, because fruit sugars are natural sugars, which means that they’re good for your brain! Plus, mangos are also high in Vitamin C, Vitamin A, and fiber, making them just as healthy as they are delicious. Plus, fruit salsas are definitely the vibe for this summer. I love a good salty-sweet recipe, and this is one of the healthiest and most delicious ways to enjoy that flavor combination!
This salsa is absolutely delicious when served with chips, but my favorite way to eat it is on top of our 10 Minute Air Fryer Shrimp Tacos. These grain-free tacos are loaded with juicy, tender shrimp and taste absolutely delicious when topped with this salsa. In fact, I would go as far as to say that the tacos aren’t complete without the salsa – they’re just that good!
Believe it or not, there is an art to mango slicing, and if you’ve ever struggled to cut a mango, then you know what I mean. Luckily, there is an easy trick to getting the perfect sliced mangos, every time, and I’m about to teach it to you!
To perfectly slice the mango, start by slicing the mango from top to bottom and along the sides of the seed, on both sides of the mango.
Then, with skin still intact, gently cut vertical lines through the flesh of the mango, being careful not to slice through the skin. Repeat the process with horizontal lines until you’ve sliced the flesh into squares.
Once your mango is cut, use a large spoon to carefully scoop out the diced mango, separating the flesh from the skin. Then, enjoy as desired!
Making this salsa is so simple and easy, and it comes together in only three steps!
To make this salsa, start by chopping the mango, avocado, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño, and add them to a large bowl. Next, add in the rest of the ingredients and toss until they’re fully combined.
Finally, serve with chips (or with my 10 Minute Air Fryer Shrimp Tacos) and enjoy! Store any leftovers in an airtight container, in the fridge, for up to three days.

I’ve prepared this recipe multiple times since I discovered it and each time it has proven to be absolutely delightful. The dish is not only delicious but also fast and easy to prepare, making it a go-to for me. One time I made a slight modification by adding freshly cut pineapple to the salad, as the mangos I had on hand were a bit underripe. The combination of this dish with a perfectly grilled NY steak makes for a wonderful summer meal that is both satisfying and refreshing. I strongly advocate for the use of only fresh, organic fruit in this recipe, avoiding pre-chopped or fully prepared options. The true essence and value of this recipe lie in utilizing the freshest ingredients possible.
Happy cooking! 🍽️
